In 1976 Al Sr. started a small floor placing and finishing company with two employees. Concrete at that time was purchased through an external company. He noticed there was a market for additional concrete services and Meter-Mix Concrete was created in 1979 and has been supplying concrete to London and surrounding areas ever since.

Over the years the demand and customer base grew persuading the start of Forest City Redi-Mix in 1993. A few years later, with the changing pouring techniques, customers started using more pump trucks to move concrete. To help aid this service, Forest City Pumping was started in 2006. Due to the growth of the companies over the years it was decided to sell the flooring company in 2007 to focus more energy towards supplying concrete.

Meter Mix, with three generations, has a team of over 30 employees and a fleet of trucks with varying sizes and capabilities. Additionally, the company operates two batch plants year-round, offering coloured concrete capabilities and much more.
